# The Cryptorunners

![Early designs by Joi Rudin.](/files/QU58zrR4XfhQ7AJapUYP)

## Who are they

**The Cryptorunners are the soul and purpose of this project.** They are unique pieces of masterfully crafted digital art, but also the characters that will live in 2112's universe.

They represent hackers of the 2112.run universe that run against the biggest corporations in search of money, fame and justice.

## How they are created

From a technical point of view, **they are procedurally generated NFTs living in the Ethereum Blockchain,** and not two of them are equal.

They are split into five different factions, and each faction has a minimum of three different base models. This allows us to offer **at least 15 different mini collections in one.** Accomplishing a level of variety that is not usually seen in generative projects.

## What can they be used for

**The Cryptorunner NFT is the key that gives you access to the entire 2112 transmedia experience.** It will allow you to play the upcoming **on-chain minigame alongside participating in all the community-based Events, which are also rewarded**.

In the future they will also give you **priority** **access to newer NFT collections**, events in the physical world, and more.
